A Stop Along The Way | 30x48" Emerald Green Landscape Painting by Shelagh Richer

$499.00

Would you know that the waters around this small, peaceful and deserted landmass is actually teaming with sea life?  That there are two artificial wrecks a few hundred feet away that scuba divers regularly dive and that seals, sea lions and an array of birds make this small rocky and barren island their temporary home during the summer months?  Such is a place called Snake Island off the coast of Vancouver Island.  A spot my husband and I dived many times while we resided in nearby Nanaimo BC.  My favourite memory is coming face to face with a small curious seal who indulged me with a game of peek-a-boo underwater.

30x48” Oil on Gallery canvas, ready to hang.
