When It Casts Its Spell | 24x 30" Oil Painting of the Ocean by Shelagh Richer
A photo I took of a site I didn't visit often, but left its imprint on me. It is an area on Vancouver Island that speaks of peacefulness to me. To be able to watch the tide's slow exchange over the long and shallow bay. To see herons picking their way across the sand searching for an easy meal. Eagles crying out from their nests and flying overhead and the sound of sea lions barking in the distance. The smell of the salty ocean, the seagrass and the kelp that lies littered across the shore.
